I led a cross-functional team at Democracy Lab to enhance the volunteer experience by redesigning the volunteer dashboard and creating a new impact page. The redesigned dashboard increased volunteer retention by 25%, introducing features like hour logging and activity tracking. The impact page improved transparency for investors and stakeholders, helping to increase funding from $2,500 to $35,000 by showcasing visuals such as active project numbers, volunteer engagement, and fund utilization.
Problem & Gap
Democracy Lab struggled with low donor trust due to a lack of transparency about fund usage and an inability to retain volunteers beyond 3 months due to insufficient recognition of their efforts.
My Role
Led Product design and UX research, including heuristic reviews, competitive analysis, user interviews, sketching, wireframing, and prototype development.
