What I Did?
No design process!! Why did I not go through any of the design steps? Well, I must admit that at the time, I was not very aware of all the necessary steps in the design process. However, I took it upon myself to study and learn a bit more via online available resources. Additionally, I sought out end user feedback and tried to understand whether what we were developing was worth it or not. After that, I made a note of the screens I would need and proceeded directly to Hi-Fi design without wireframing or even a brainstorming.
My Journey As A UX Designer Began
What I Learned?
While this was my first individual UX project, I learned valuable lessons that shaped my design philosophy. Initially, the app had some accessibility issues, as my knowledge of the subject was limited. Additionally, I could have done more research to make it even better and should have asked users more questions to understand their fitness goals. Despite these shortcomings, I put my heart and soul into the project, and it's now in the development stage (ofcourse we redesigned, I will upload photos soon) for release on Playstore. However, when I revisited the design, I realized how much room there was for improvement. I laughed at my earlier design choices, cried because of my ignorance, but ultimately felt confident knowing that I gave it my all. After two years of studying User Experience Design, I realized that it's not just about learning how to design; it's about understanding how every stage of the design process plays a crucial role. I am excited to continue improving and creating user-centered designs that have a positive impact on people's lives.
